Comic Con is underway! And so, news from Day 1 is out!
First up is news that a new prequel to "Stargate" is coming! And, it will premier on MGM's new streaming service, Stargate Command. Read all about it in the links above!
"Rogue One" has its World Premiere tomorrow! And, StarWars.com will stream from the Red Carpet LIVE! It starts at 5 p.m. Pacific Time / 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
This final day of the convention features Carrie Fisher, who just finished her segment. But, you can rewind the live feed above and watch the one-hour show. Coming up is Darth Maul himself, Ray Park and more as this last day winds down!
It's Day 2 of Star Wars Celebration, the yearly official Star Wars convention.
This year, it's in Britain. I was about to say Europe. But, after #Brexit, I guess that isn't the case anymore! Anyway, because it's over there, it is five or more hours ahead of the United States. So, the panels start at 6 a.m. Eastern Time.
What has been weird is that this year's panels, etc. have not been archived. And, the YouTube live feed for each day disappears after the day's coverage is over.
This year's convention seems to be much lighter on content than last year's. Mark Hamill showed up for a Q&A, all by himself, no moderator or anything. Odd. And, he could say nothing about "Episode VIII," which for me is by far the reason why I would want to watch a Star Wars Celebration.
So, without "Episode VIII," what's left? "Rogue One." And, that's fine. The panel was good, with Captain Phasma herself, Gwendolyn Christie, moderating. But, what was odd was the handling, or mishandling, of what was strongly rumored to be Trailer 2 for the new movie. We didn't get it. Instead, we got what the film industry calls a "sizzle reel," behind-the-scenes footage, etc. from the movie. But, no dramatic trailer. What happened there? Producer Kathleen Kennedy herself didn't know what to call it. It wasn't a "trailer." So, she just used the industry jargon "sizzle reel."
Most of the three days, you need to be a fan of "Star Wars Rebels" and other non-theatrical projects to get that much out of the convention. Anyone else isn't going to get too much from it, unfortunately.
Star Wars Celebration continues LIVE! Up next, the much-anticipated "Rogue One" panel! I have been up all night and into the morning to have seen Mark Hamill's one-hour Q&A with fans, and this next "Rogue One" panel!
The "Rogue One" Panel starts at 11 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States. Producer Kathleen Kennedy and Director Gareth Edwards are the participants.
Star Wars Celebration, the yearly official Star Wars convention is now LIVE!. Since it's in Britain, the events are on early here in the States. Like last year, there will be lots of live webcasts of the main events.
The highlight of Friday is Mark Hamill for an hour. It stars at 6 a.m. Eastern Time. But, it should be available later on the Star Wars YouTube Channel.
It is also expected that the new trailer for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will premiere today.

This radio station is from NRK, the national radio network of Norway. They have a number of different stations. I listen to their classical station, NRK Klassisk. If you are on Google Chrome, you will be automatically prompted if you would like to translate the station's page. Click yes, and you will see the current selections playing, with the current selection highlighted.
Spotify, as you probably know, is a streaming music service. They have a variety of genres available, including Classical. There are a number of symphony orchestras that have concerts and albums available on Spotify. Those include: Wiener Philharmoniker, London Symphony Orchestra and New York Philharmonic. When you listen with their Free option, you get 160 kbps streaming. When you use their Paid option, you get 320 kbps streaming.
