This month features the theme of The Graceful And The Grotesque. Grammofy says: "Grace and cheerfulness are to be found in both Haydn’s 'Clock' Symphony and Schumann’s effervescent Piano Quintet. Finally, in two works written early in the 1940s, we have soloists presenting moments of lyrical grace against ferocious and sometimes grotesque orchestral accompaniment."
