Beset by extended delays and reshoots, "Borderlands" is getting many bad reviews from many critics. The film was originally shot in 2021. Then, with original director Eli Roth unavailable, Tim Miller did reshoots. After all that, the end result sounds underwhelming, to say the least.

"Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 2," directed by and starring Kevin Costner, has been pulled from its release in theaters for August 16. After the low box office of "Chapter 1," it has been decided not to give "Chapter 2" a theatrical release.

"Chapter 1" will premiere on Video On Demand on July 16. It will premiere on Max at some point, but that has been undetermined. How and where "Chapter 2" will premiere remains to be seen.

"Horizon, An American Saga," directed by and starring Kevin Costner, has premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. With that, the first reviews are out. And, above, you can click on the reviews from both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. While this is Part 1 of two parts, both publications were underwhelmed by what they saw.

Variety says it is unfocused, jumping around too many storylines and that it seems more like a set-up for a TV miniseries. The Hollywood Reporter also said that this feels like a miniseries that got repackaged as a theatrical film. They also echoed what Variety said in that the film seems to have too much extraneous material.
