New "Rise of Skywalker" Clip
Movie Clip: Rise of Skywalker - Disney
New clip from "The Rise of Skywalker." Just 30 seconds of an action sequence, no spoilers.
The key thing for me: The first listen to John Williams' score, which is, by far, the main reason I will go see it.

Chosen for Artemis Event!
Article: Experience Artemis Day and Go Behind the Scenes at NASA’s Rocket Factory - NASA
I was chosen to be part of NASA's Artemis event next month at two NASA locations near New Orleans. These two are: the Michoud Assembly Facility where the rockets for Artemis are assembled, and the Stennis Space Center, where rocket engines are tested.
I very much look forward to it, and will report on it right here.

Kubrick Explains Ending of "2001."
Interview: Stanley Kubrick on the meaning of the ending of 2001 in a rare 1980 interview. - Eyes on Cinema
I never knew that this existed!
Stanley Kubrick on the meaning of the ending of 2001 in a rare 1980 interview.
Well, I think it's pretty straight forward. We never see the aliens, so we can reasonably assume that they are without form, and exist on a plane of existence beyond that of humans. And, they purposely bring Bowman to them. And, when he physically dies, that part of him that is beyond the physical is merged with one of the aliens to create a new being. And, that being is sent back to Earth. The bottom line is: Since the aliens exist on that different plane of existence, they cannot interact with humans in a direct way. So, the new being, a fusion of human and alien, will be able to do that.
