Microsoft just signed a deal to restart Three Mile Island's intact reactor for its energy needs.

Three Mile Island Reactor to Come Back Online

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will have to fully sign off on this before it happens. This is the case with all nulcear projects in the United States. This includes the new project by Bill Gates, who has broken ground on a new kind of nuclear power plant in Wyoming.

When it comes to Artificial Intelligence, massive amounts of electricity are needed to make it run. Nuclear Power is a zero-emission energy source that only produces steam. No CO2, no chemicals like mercury being sent into the atmosphere like with coal or natural gas.

In a time when water is starting to become more scarce in parts of the world, using a different mode of cooling for nuclear power plants is very important.
