An area already dominated by pollution-creating industries will now be the home for the “world’s largest supercomputer” named “Colossus.” This data center will supply the compute power for Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI. Colossus will require a million gallons of water per day and 150 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 100,000 homes per year. The entire project has been shrouded in secrecy, with the local population not allowed any input.
